The King of Limbs
The king of limbs is a strange anomaly of nature, he begun life as a typical primordial who followed the word of Lithnagantas. During this time he was barely more than a face in the crowd with no name, but at some point his perspective took a radical turn. He took great interest in the animal Demigods(Old Coyote, Nyamne, etc) of the Savage Lands, especially after Iocles drastically reduced their numbers. After discovering a shrine Lixus took interest in he developed a fascination with humans and their derivatives. The shapechanging magics he learned with the elementals and druids allowed him to observe these humans without revealing himself, “What were they like when they think nobody is watching?” he would say to himself. Their bizarre offerings and rituals only left him with more questions. His passionate study of humans and civilization led to his excommunication from the nature spirits and fae that still clung to the memory of Lithnagantas, but by this point he had long ceased interest in the power of nature. Druids across the world still hear the forests and animals spit at his name when he’s near. Eventually he decided to settle himself in Dimos, one of the most developed human cultures at the time. While observing a small human village in what would be known as the Pugilist’s Pines a nameless ranger managed to spot him writing something onto his skin so he could remember later. Amused by this human’s impressive tracking ability(to obscure the fact that he wasn’t careful in concealing himself), he decided to teach this man writing. This incident serves as the centerpiece of Dimean language and lead his him being worshiped as their state religion until Aemos, the First King had him replaced with their current god and had any cults that remained loyal to the King of Limbs be stamped out(though many of these cults still operate in secret).
