Nyamne the Estranged
During the early days of the material plane in an era called the Age of Formation, Lithnagantas was creating the first animals. These early prototypes were significantly larger and more intelligent than the cursed modern counterparts, each was instilled with the power of a demigod. Iocles was extremely displeased with this and bartered with his brother over what to do with these powerful beasts. Lithnagantas agreed to Iocles placing a curse on all of the beast gods by Lithnagantas’s side(he believed at the time that there were no more) turning them into the degenerate forms that they maintain today. However, some of the animal gods were in exile, tardy to the meeting, or lost. One of these beast gods was Nyamne the Estranged. Nyamne was the runt of his family, his eyesight left him nearly blind, his tusks barely grew to half the length of his many brothers, and his short stature left even many of the females towering over him. He was relentlessly bullied and mocked by the other elephants. He would often wander away from the herd to hide in the forest and cry, one of the few moments of solace from the endless torment of his peers. Unfortunately, some of his brothers found his small sanctuary and destroyed the faces he carved onto the trees(these faces represented his only friends). Losing his only friends threw him over the edge, he decided that he was going to run away from the herd forever and find his own path.
He wandered the depths of the jungle for twenty days and twenty nights he realized that he knew nothing about survival and begun to starve, unable to eat many of the poisonous plants that inhabited these dark reaches. He begrudgingly returned to his herd to find that they had all shrunk down to his size and couldn’t even understand or remember him, feeling dejected yet again he has since wandered the world looking for food to sustain him. In this time he managed to master a few magics that allow him to vanish when unsuspected travelers come across him, this has sparked a consistent legend of a disappearing elephant found far into the wilderness. In the many millenia since his flight from his herd he has managed to make a few friends, world renowned bard Isthese was among these few friends before his untimely death. Sadly though, due to his immortality Nyamne will always lose his friends to the harsh mistress of time. The first time this happened he was so broken up that he razed an entire forest that existed between the Godwood and Westspine(supposedly where Traedorn currently sits) and refused to speak to anyone for over 300 years. There is a cult that attempts to track Nyamne and serve as a permanent collection of friends to comfort him, most of the members that join this cult are depressed exiles themselves and seek to help each other along with their god.
